You can create a new Event at any time, containing any photos in your library. If you have flagged photos, you can create a new Event containing all of them. You can also create an empty Event, and move photos into it later.
The photos you place in a new Event are removed from their original Events, which may take them out of chronological order. If you want to create a customized grouping of photos without affecting your Events, you can create an album instead.
To create an Event that includes specific photos:
Click to select Photos in the Source list.
Select the photos you want in your new Event.
Choose Events > Create Event. (If you’re in full-screen view, move your pointer to the top of the screen to make the menu bar appear.)
-
In the dialog that appears, click Create.
The selected photos are removed from the Events where they’re currently located and placed in the new Event.
To create an Event using only flagged photos:
Flag the photos you want in your new Event.
Choose Events > Create Event From Flagged Photos. (If you’re in full-screen view, move your pointer to the top of the screen to make the menu bar appear.)
-
In the dialog that appears, click the Create button.
The flagged photos are removed from the Events where they’re currently located and placed in the new Event.
To create an empty Event:
Click to select Events in the Source list.
-
Make sure no Events are selected in the main viewing window, and then choose Events > Create Event. (If you’re in full-screen view, move your pointer to the top of the screen to make the menu bar appear.)
A placeholder Event thumbnail appears at the bottom of your Events.
Just as with any other Event, you can name the new Event, add photos to it, merge it with another Event, and more.
