All book themes contain page layouts that you can edit. If you want to include text in your book, choose a page layout that includes text.
You can change the appearance of any text by choosing different font options. If you create a text style that you want to use throughout your project, you can save the text style.
To choose a book page layout that includes text:

The book pages appear in All Pages view.

Click the Layout button in the toolbar.

Double-click the page you want to add text to.
The page spread appears with the page selected.

Do one of the following:
Choose Text Page from the Layout pop-up menu.

Choose a number of photos from the Layout pop-up menu.
If the “Include text” checkbox is shown, select it to show only page layouts that include text. If the checkbox is not shown, scan the page layouts to see if any include text.

Select a page layout that includes text.
The page updates to show the layout you selected.
To format text on a page:

The book pages appear in All Pages view.

Double-click the page that contains the text you want to format.
The page spread appears with the page selected.
Click the text to select it.

Do one of the following:

Format the text using the basic text formatting tools that appear above the selected text.

Click the Options button in the toolbar, and then format the text using the formatting tools in the Options pane.

To apply text formatting to all similar text fields in a book:

The book pages appear in All Pages view.

Click the Options button in the toolbar.

Double-click a page that contains the text formatting that you want to apply to all similar text fields in the book.
The page spread appears with the page selected.

Click the text that contains the formatting that you want to apply to other similar text fields in the book.
For example, if you select text in a title text box, you can change the text formatting for all other title text boxes in the book.
After verifying that you applied the formatting correctly, click the Change Everywhere button in the Options pane, and then click Yes in the window that appears.
The text formatting that you selected is applied to all of the similar text fields in the book.
To navigate through all of the text fields in a book:

The book pages appear in All Pages view.

Click the Options button in the toolbar.
Double-click a page with text, and then click a text field to select it.

To select the next text field in the book, press the Tab key.
To advance to the next text field, press the Tab key again. If the selected text field is the last text field in the book, pressing Tab will select the first text field in the book.
To restore text to its default settings:

The book pages appear in All Pages view.

Click the Options button in the toolbar.

Double-click the page that contains the text that you want to restore.
The page spread appears with the page selected.
Click the text field, and then select the text that you want to restore.

In the Options pane, click the “Revert to Default” button.
To show or hide page numbers in a photo book:
If the book theme you’re using includes page numbers, you can choose whether or not to include them in the book.

The book pages appear in All Pages view.

Click the Options button in the toolbar.
Click the Book Settings button.

In the window that appears, select or deselect the “Show page numbers” checkbox.
If you’re using page numbers in your book, you can modify the text style of the page numbers, using the text formatting tools below the “Show page numbers” checkbox. A preview of the text style appears below the text formatting tools.
If you see an alert (red triangle) while working on a book:
While working on a photo book, you may see a red triangle that contains an exclamation point. The alert means that the text doesn’t fit in the available space, either because the font is too large or the text uses too many characters.
To fix an alert, do one of the following:
Reduce the space the text takes by changing the text’s font, typeface, or size.
Edit the text so that it uses fewer words.
