Most book themes include page layouts that contain maps. Maps automatically display locations associated with a photo. You can also add your own locations to maps.
You can add a customizable map to any page in your book, except the front and back covers, and the dust jacket of a hardcover book. Map page layouts are available in all book sizes except Small.
To add a map to a book page:

The book pages appear in All Pages view.

Click the Layout button in the toolbar.

Double-click the page you want to add the map to.
The page spread appears with the page selected.

In the Layout pane, choose Map from the Layout pop-up menu, and then select a map page layout from the options that appear below the Layout pop-up menu.
If you want a map to show all of the locations associated with the photos in the book, select a map page layout that contains only a map (and no photos).

If you want a map to show only the locations of the photos on the page, select a map page layout that includes a map and photos.
To remove a map from a book page:

The book pages appear in All Pages view.

Click the Layout button in the toolbar.

Double-click the page that contains the map you want to remove.
The page spread appears with the page selected.
In the Layout pane, choose another page layout from the Layout pop-up menu, and then select a page layout from the options that appear.
