Import photos from a CD, DVD, or flash drive

You can import photos from a CD, DVD, or flash drive.

For information on importing photos from a memory card, see Import photos or video from a digital camera.

To import photos from a disc or flash drive:

  1. Insert the disc into your computer’s disc drive, or connect the flash drive to your computer.

  2. Open iPhoto, and then choose File > “Import to Library.”

  3. Navigate to the location of the photos you want to import.

  4. Select a photo, a folder, or a disk, or press the Command key while you click individual photos.

  5. Click Import.

    Important:  Don’t eject a disc or drive while the photos are being imported.
