Edit photos in a book

You can use the tools in the Options pane to apply borders and color effects to a photo used in a book. These effects are applied only to the photo on the book project page, and are not applied to the photo in your iPhoto library.

If you want to rotate, enhance, retouch, or otherwise edit a photo used in a book, use the iPhoto editing tools. Any edits you make with the editing tools are applied to all instances of the photo, including the photo in your iPhoto library and any other projects that use the photo.

To add a border to a photo:

Not all book themes provide borders. If you don’t see any border options, and you want to add a border to a photo, you need to change the book theme.

  1. Open the book project.

  2. Double-click the page that contains the photo you want to add a border to.

  3. Click the Options button in the toolbar.
